Gem Silica is the gem form of Chrysocolla. There are very few mines of Chrysocolla in the world, so finding Gem Silica
in these mines is a rarity. In some places in the world Gem Silica is called Druzy Chrysocolla.
This is a crystallized
formation. The stone is harder than Chrysocolla so more durable in making a piece of jewelry.
The blue is magnificent. Sometimes it has the appearance of a turquoise color. Blue mixed with green.
These mines have been located in New Mexico and South America.
